Samsung's Much Anticipated Smart Phones

  Galaxy S21                                                  Source:  Samsung Galaxy 5G Phone Less Expensive Than Predecessor Samsung has launched three Galaxy S21 series phones.  The 5G lineup includes the $800 Galaxy S21, $1,000 Galaxy S21 Plus and the $1,200 Galaxy S21 Ultra.  The next generation Samsung S21 series was one of the most anticipated product launches at CES 2021 and it didn't disappoint.  The biggest advantage is the price reduction. It's priced at $200 below its 2020 predecessor phone Galaxy S20. Samsung Telephonic Technology The South Korean phone maker has added upgrades to the phone's processor and the software it runs on.  It's on Android 11 with a Snapdragon 888 processor, that promises enhanced overall performance.  The smart phone has upgraded 5G connectivity and the fingerprint sensor.  The screen size of the base S21 is 6.2 inches and the Plus is 6.7 inches. New Health App Is Rolling Out with Select 2020 QLED TV Source:  Samsung QLED TV Health Tracking App to Get in Shape Prolonged television watching has long been associated with being an out of shape couch potato.  That doesn't need to be the case anymore.  Samsung is now rolling out a new health tracking App on select 2020 QLED TVs that started selling in April. Health Data The Samsung Health App collects and syncs an individual's health data from their smartphone, smart watch, wearables and now their Samsung television.  The App stores the data on a dashboard to view their key health metrics.  It also provides access to free workout classes and mindfulness sessions. Personalized Health Goals Using the App, you can set a daily routine, with alerts that a workout class you like is about to start and your can set fitness goals and challenges.  The App is designed to facilitate a healthier lifestyle and includes a variety of classes like yoga, dance, pilates, strength

Apple, Google, Samsung's Less Expensive Pricing Source: Apple New Phones, More Affordable Apple just unveiled its new iPhone SE 2020.  It's priced at $399.00, is leading edge and the most affordable smart phone in Apple's lineup.  Apple's new strategy is to introduce less expensive phones.  This is the first time  that it has done so since 2016.   Apple has two key reasons. In these turbulent times, consumers are watching their wallets and not as free to upgrade on expensive models. Also, less expensive phones attract new consumers and  Apple wants to grow its new customer base. Bionic Chip Some of  the features of the iPhone SE 2020 include  wireless charging, Apple's A13 Bionic chip, a home button, Touch ID, haptic feedback and a Portrait mode. Interestingly, it doesn't have 5G connectivity and no facial  ID. Bargain Phone Wars The new iPhone faces stiff competition.

Samsung's SelfieType with Selfie Camera Source:  Samsung Powered by Cameras and AI Samsung is developing a virtual keyboard for smartphones.  It uses AI and image recognition to create an invisible keyboard.  The purpose is to increase productivity by increasing the size of the keyboard for you to work on.  The system creates the virtual keyboard on hard surfaces like a desk. Fascinating Practicality The market potential for this input method is significant because many people find it cumbersome to type on a touchscreen.  Samsung's invention relies on the phone's front facing selfie cameras and AI.  The system analyzes and translates finger movements into typing commands.  All, in real-time.  No additional components are needed.  This could become part of some Galaxy phones and tablets in the near future through a software update.

Ballie is Samsung's vision of human-centered robots that provide personalized care. It's tiny, ball shaped and wants to do just about everything for you.  It can serve as a home security system, a virtual assistant for such things as fitness training. The yellow, soft-ball sized robot is the next evolution in IoT (internet of things), according to Samsung. One of the most anticipated debuts at the annual CES trade show in Las Vegas this week is Samsung's AI project "NEON".  The South Korea tech giant has been marketing it as an "Artificial Human" and "Artificial Intelligence Being".  Samsung has been doing teases over social media to drum up anticipation and suspense about NEON.  For the first time, some information is leaking out on exactly what NEON is. Artificial Intelligence Being that May be AI Computing Samsung says NEON is nothing you've ever seen before.  There are some indications that it may be an AI computer.  The Dutch site, LetsGoDigital, that specializes in detailing tech patents, reports based on Samsung's patent filing, that NEON will be able to deliver the following: Augmented reality video production Creation of computer generated characters Computer generated imagery, animations, simulations and models

Hot, Foldable, Smart Phone:  Samsung's Galaxy Fold Sells Out in South Korea & Coming to US and Europe Samsung launched its Galaxy Fold smartphone on Friday in South Korea and it proved to be a sell-out as soon as it went on sale.  The foldable smartphone that folds out into a tablet sold out in one day.  Another round of pre-ordering will start in South Korea on September 18th and it will be launched in the US in upcoming weeks. A First This is Samsung's first, foldable smartphone.  It includes 5G mobile connectivity.  It's priced at $2,000.  It will be going on sale in Germany, France and the UK within two weeks.  The US launch follows after that.  The device has been greatly anticipated.  An April launch was delayed by screen defects in samples. Galaxy F Foldable Phone Source:  Samsung San Francisco Unveiling 2/20/2019 This is a new smart phone that has been much anticipated.  South Korea's Samsung's Galaxy F foldable smart phone that the company teased at a developers conference in November 2018. Info It's a smart phone with a smaller screen on the front that opens up like a book.  Experts say the 5 inch screen will fold out to an 8 inch tablet.  Pricing is estimated at $1500 to $2000.
