  Called a "Compelling" Small Crossover                                                                                     Source:  Dodge Affordably Priced Hybrid Car The Dodge Hornet is the automaker's first electrified performance vehicle.  It's being called by automotive experts a "compelling" small crossover and it is certainly affordably priced at a starting price of $30,000.  Interestingly, parent company Stellantis is building it in Italy alongside the new Stellantis Alfa Romeo Tonale.  The two vehicles have a number of similarities but are targeted at different customer bases.  The Tonale is for a slightly more well-heeled audience and the Hornet is more of a classic muscle car. Tech Specs Dodge has built options into the Hornet.  It can be bought with a gas powertrain and a turbocharged, inline, 4-cylinder engine or as a hybrid (PHEV) with 285 horsepower.  Both models have standard all-wheel drive.  The Hornet will be offered in 3 trims:  GT, R/T a

  Lancia Returns to Carmaking:  Goes All-Electric Luxury                                                  Source:  Lancia New Concept Pu-Ra Zero is Purely Radical Famed Italian automaker Lancia has returned to its roots of designing and making cars.  Now owned by Stellantis (Chrysler), Lancia has resurrected its brand with a very wild car concept, a new mission and a new logo.  The concept is as unique as it gets.  The "design sculpture" is called Pu-Ra Zero - as in pure, radical, zero emissions. And it does not resemble a conventional car.  In fact, it has no wheels, no windows and lacks most of the things that you expect to come with a car.  The concept is actually Lancia's design language for what will be its flagship EV of the future. Dodge just unveiled its highly upgraded concept, the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT, which Dodge calls the world's first fully electrified muscle car. Dodge, which is owned by Stellantis, is offering its new electric Charger Daytona SRT concept in three, powertrain output power levels.  Dodge says that the potential exists for 9 powertrain levels.  Dodge has developed and disclosed new information on 3 electric Charger models. The top model called the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee has a huge 800-volt electrified engine system that is expected to deliver very big horsepower, that could come close to 800, 900 or 1,000 hp.
