Mercedes Vision Urbanetic Concept Vehicle

Concept Vehicle for People or Cargo Source:  Mercedes Benz German Precision Engineering Mercedes Benz calls it the Vision Urbanetic.   The vehicle is autonomous, electric and unique.  It's designed to move either people or cargo, but not both together. People Mover or Cargo Mover Urbanetic runs on batteries and can operate autonomously.  There are interchangeable modules that go on top of the vehicle to transport either people or cargo.  The modules can be changed in a few minutes.  The people mover can accommodate 12 passengers.  There are 2 levels of seats, arranged in a circle. Loaded with Tech This concept vehicle is loaded with tech.  For instance, it spots pedestrians before they step off the curb into the street.  It's also connected to real-time traffic reports.  At the moment, MB doesn't have plans to bring it to market, but it is one of the most intriguing modes of travel innovation presented yet.  The vehicle was showcased by Mercedes at the Con

CES Innovation Award Winner - AI Pet Bowl Source:  Volta and Pet Electronics of New York Innovation Machine that Caters to Your Pe t As a dog lover, I'm fascinated by this innovation for my German Shorthaired Pointer Rudi aka Snookie.  He's just 1 years old, athletic and thin but a foodie.  The new innovation is called Mookkie and it's been produced by the Italian Tech company Volta.  It's a pet feeder with AI intelligence that recognizes each of your pets' faces and feeds them accordingly. My other pet is Biddie, a 6 year old Smooth Fox Terrier who is another foodie and a terrier about it. This AI pet bowl feeder just received the CES Innovation Award in the Smart Homes Category.  Sounds interesting. Right Portions This device gives each pet the right amount of food.  It works for dogs, cats and pets with special dietary conditions and needs. UBTECH of China's New Robotic AI Innovation

UBTECH's Two Advanced Robots Debuted at CES 2019 Source:  UBTECH's Walker Walker and Cruzr UBTECH has unveiled a pair of new, advanced robots.  They are new versions of the company's Walker bipedal humanoid robot and Cruzr.  Cruzr is a cloud-based, intelligent service robot.  The company says its performance and reliability have been greatly improved.  Walker, as you can see in the photo, now has arms and hands and seems to enjoy piano music. Hyundai's Walking Car

The Hyundai Elevate Source:  Hyundai Wheels and Robotic Legs Hyundai has had The Elevate under development for three years.  It can activate robotic legs to walk 3 mph over rough terrain.  The car can climb a 5 foot wall and jump over a 5 foot gap.  Hyundai says it could be very useful in emergency and disaster situations. Beyond Wheels This unusual looking vehicle is part of Hyundai's project " beyond the range of wheels".  The Elevate can drive to the scene of a disaster and climb over the debris.  It's a brand new form of mobility innovation.  It was just unveiled today at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Rolls-Royce's Electric Flying Car Source:  Rolls-Royce Air Taxis Rolls-Royce is prototyping an all electric flying car.  It's an EVTOL or electric vertical take off and landing air taxi concept.  The vehicle could carry 5 passengers at speeds up to 250 mph for distances up to 500 miles.  The company promises to produce a vehicle prototype by mid 2020. Storied Jet Engine History Rolls-Royce says it intends to play a leading role in the big, emerging flying car market given their expertise in electric technologies and aviation. They're exploring a range of electric and hybrid personal air mobility systems. The British based company makes commercial jet engines.  Rolls Royce Motor Cars is now owned by BMW and is not associated with this effort.
