  D A ILY INNOVATION BRIEF                By Journalists Edward Kane & Marya nne Kane   CUTTING AIR TRAVEL TIME IN HALF - BOOM                                                                           Source:  Boom A new SST being developed by Denver-based Boom is designed to cut air travel time in half by flying at supersonic speeds Here are the facts: Boom is innovating commercial air travel with the development  of its commercial supersonic passenger jet Overture Targeted for passenger flights in 2027 Will carry 64 to 80 passengers Flies on sustainable aviation fuel Top speed Mach 1.7 or 1,260 mph Altitude up to 60,000 feet Boom has orders for 130 Overtures from United, American and Japan Airlines First flight tests later this year Could provide the first supersonic flights since Concorde which stopped service in 2003 NASA is also developing a hydrogen-powered SST designed to fly at Mach 4 or approximately 3,000 mph. 2025 KIA EV5 SUV COMING SOON

  D A ILY INNOVATION BRIEF                By Journalists Edward Kane & Marya nne Kane     NASA NEW SST - NYC TO LONDON IN 90 MINUTES                                    Source:  NASA, Lockheed Martin Big news from NASA - a SST prototype has just been announced that's twice as fast as the Concorde, 4-times faster than conventional flights and can fly from NYC to London in 90 minutes Here's what we know: Breakthrough supersonic plane under development by NASA capable of travelling at Mach 4 or 3,300 mph Based on NASA's quiet X-59 supersonic plane, designed to fly at Mach 1.3 or 925 mph+ & being co-developed with Lockheed Flying speeds will average between Mach 2 and 4 or 1,535 mph to 3,045 mph New SST will be hydrogen-powered NASA has identified 50 passenger routes over the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans for the new SST Boeing is leading the new SST project with GE Aerospace and Rolls Royce  participating.
