  • UK Education Secretary Gillian Keegan believes that AI could bring innovative, "transformative change" to education
  • Speaking at the Education World Forum in London, she forecasted that it will change a teacher's daily workday for the better, by taking away the "heavy lifting" of grading tests, marking papers and formulating daily lesson plans
  • Keegan believes this could enable teachers to do what AI can't -- teach, up close and personal in front of the classroom
  • Keegan told the Education World Forum that AI has to be mastered and used as an assistive technology to improve education
  • Unlike others who are warning of AI's dangers, the UK Education Secretary urged educators to embrace it and likened AI to other new technologies that have been used to improve the quality of life.
