  • Scientists have revealed the face of a woman who lived 45,000 years ago during the Ice Age
  • Her features were brought to life by an international team of scientists
  • This is the face of the oldest human ever revealed
  • Called Zlaty kun or golden horse, she was among the first humans to live in Eurasia
  • The scientists created a precise digital model of her skull, found in the now Czech Republic over 70 years ago, and then 3D printed the facial structure, skin and hair based on all the weapons of new digital technology, including precise measurements, data analysis of thousands of photos and computer modeling
  • The team says this is likely the oldest human remains found in Europe and the oldest human to be genetically sequenced
  • Her genome carried 3% Neanderthal ancestry
  • Her high cheekbones and jutting jawbone suggest a strong woman of character, tackling life in the Ice Age
  • Her skull is under the care of the National Museum in Prague
  • This team also created the 3D face of King Tut unveiled in May2023.
 
BRITAIN DEPLOYS DRONES TO DELIVER MAIL

  • The UK for the 1st time is using drones to deliver the mail
  • Drone mail deliveries have begun in Orkney, an archipelago in the northern isles of Scotland
  • Because of consistently tricky weather conditions and its location, Royal Mail service to Orkney has been frequently delayed and disrupted, but is expected to be significantly improved by the drones
  • The Orkney operation has been launched by the Royal Mail and Skyports Drone Services
  • The project has been launched for 3 months and could continue on a permanent basis
  • Skyports' multirotor drone looks like a plane, can carry up to 220 lbs and is called Speedbird Aero
  • The Royal Mail is expected to create 50 new postal drone routes over the next 3 years
  • Their ultimate goal is to deploy 500 drones to deliver mail throughout the UK.

  • Italian automotive luxury design house, Pininfarina, just unveiled a new class of cars
  • Called PURA Vision and dubbed e-LUV, it's an all-electric luxury utility vehicle
  • Combines the styling of a sports car with the road savviness of a SUV and the glamour of a luxury 4-wheel supercar 
  • Design is inspired by sailing yachts
  • 4-seats
  • Wine cooler between front and back seats
  • Hidden headlights
  • 23" big alloy wheels
  • Rear facing cameras instead of door mirrors
  • Tech rich cabin that includes:
  1. Intuitive central touchscreen
  2. Advanced digital instrumentation
  3. Heads-up display that can be personalized
  4. This vehicle is going into production
  • There is some expert speculation that the horsepower could be well above 1,000 hp and the price over $1,000,000.
