AI POWERED ROBOT GUIDE DOG FOR OUR VISUALLY IMPAIRED

  • Blind and partially blind people may soon be guided by robot guide dogs.  Here's what we know:
  • Engineers at the University of Glasgow are developing RoboGuide, an AI powered robot guide dog capable of talking to humans
  • Goal is to help the visually impaired be more independent as they walk around hospitals, shopping centers and other public places
  • RoboGuide has a series of sensors to map and access its surroundings
  • Software helps RoboGuide to learn optimal routes and interpret sensor data in real time so as not to hit obstacles as it assists the user
  • It can understand speech and verbally respond
  • Overall objective of RoboGuide is to give the visually impaired more independence
  • This is assistive AI technology now being developed and tested that has the potential to help provide more independence to the 2.2 billion people globally who are visually impaired and blind.
CHRYSLER HAS A WILD EV CONCEPT UP ITS SLEEVE

  • Later in February, Chrysler will debut what's being called "a wild EV concept".  Here's what we know:
  • Unveiling on Tuesday February 13
  • Styling is "wild" and very futuristic
  • Name appears to be Halcyon
  • Chrysler has 3 electric platforms to choose from to quickly put the EV concept into production
  • Chrysler calls it very "innovative" but isn't releasing any details, including whether it's a sedan or SUV
  • The new EV is part of Chrysler's commitment to an all-electric lineup by 2028
  • The design teaser hints at a very stylish direction for the future of Chrysler EVs
  • Chrysler's 1st battery-electric EV will hit the market in 2025
  • Right now, Chrysler's only product in its portfolio is the Pacifica minivan
  • Chrysler is owned by Stellantis.
