  • The world's first space hotel, with out-of-this-world views of Earth and luxury accommodations, is scheduled to open next year.  Here's what we know:
  • US-based space company Above Space has plans to launch 2 space stations that include luxury accommodations for tourists
  • The rooms are said to be "stocked with gravity"
  • These are the world's 1st gravity-enabled space stations
  • The 1st to launch next year is Pioneer Station that can carry 28 passengers
  • The second to launch in 2027 is Voyager Station that will carry 400 passengers
  • The space ride to get there will cost you $55 million plus the luxury hotel room cost
  • The company expects to have the Pioneer Station/Hotel open next year
  • Rooms can now be reserved
  • The space station looks like a rotating wheel in the sky
  • The inventors have designed it for space tourism, business and scientific research
  • What an intergalactic destination.
NEW "ENDLESS" GEOTHERMAL ENERGY SOURCE

  • This new project may have the potential to disrupt the energy scene.  Cambridge, Massachusetts-based startup Quaise Energy plans to drill up to 12 miles into the Earth to tap into what's being called a "million year" geothermal energy source.  Here are some facts:
  • The company has secured $40 million in investment money to do this
  • The geothermal energy potential and approach is based on research by MIT and the company was founded and is led by MIT engineers & scientists
  • Quaise says it will have its 1st drilling rig ready this year
  • They'll have an energy plant retrofitted for geothermal energy by 2030
  • Their drilling technology is proprietary
  • It is a milimeter wave drilling system that goes 6 to 12 miles under the Earth's surface where geothermal energy is power-dense, unlimited and anywhere under the Earth's surface
  • Now building field-deployable drilling machines to show the capability
  • They will use existing infrastructure, power plants and oil crews to do the job
  • Geothermal is clean, green energy and this new project is something to watch for its potential impact.

  China's SAIC Revolutionizes the Historic British MG Brand                                              Source:  MG Cyberster Electric MG Sport Car Concept Becomes a Reality The legendary sports car company MG was founded in the 1920's in Oxford, England. It enjoyed a long history of creating iconic MG, 2 seat sports cars. It is now China owned and China based, acquired a few years ago by SAIC Motors.  The new MG has a fabulous concept car the Cyberster.  It's an all electric sports car that was recently introduced at the Shanghai 2021 Motor Show.  MG just announced the vehicle is going from concept and into production.  MG calls it the "world's first purely electric e-sports cockpit".  The design of this electric vehicle is sleek, futuristic and highly styled with a wide grill that is a throwback to the original MGB as are the round headlights that open like eyes when the car is turned on.  It is truly an iconic, all electric sports car.
