EV's With 400 Miles + Range on a Charge

California-based luxury EV maker Lucid has put into production two, notable, long-range cars that deliver up to 425 miles of range on a single charge.  Called Air Pure and Air Touring, they are new editions of Lucid's flagship luxury sedan Air. Both EVs have dual electric motors and all-wheel drive.  They are specifically designed to be more affordable versions of Air.  And they are fast.  Touring can go from 0 to 60 mph in a sizzling 3.4 seconds.  Air can do the same in 3.8 seconds.

Very Long Driving Range

These vehicles are being produced as limited editions.  Air Pure is completely sold-out.  It is priced at $87,400.  Air Touring goes for around $100,000.  In order to increase the vehicles' efficiencies, Lucid reduced the EVs weight and upgraded the aerodynamics.  Those moves enabled the impressive range of 425 miles on a charge for Touring, which is currently among the best in the business. Air Pure gets a 410-mile range on a charge and packs 480 hp.  Touring pumps out 620 hp. Both have dual motors on their electric powertrain

Customer Deliveries

Air Pure and Air Touring will start being delivered to customers by very late 2022 into 2023. Much of the interior of both new vehicles is made from recycled material. One of the most impressive aspects of the vehicles is the recharging.  It can add 200 miles of range in 15 minutes.  Both vehicles have an 18 module, long range battery. The flagship and currently available Lucid Grand Touring is the Goliath EV in the market with 1000+hp, a 516-mile range and a price tag well into the six-figures.  Air Pure and Air Touring are less expensive, although very impressive, alternatives.  In 2023, a single electric motor, rear-wheel drive Air will be produced.  For more news stories on innovation like this, Flight Path To The Future
