SKODA'S ROADIAQ - SUV, MOBILE OFFICE & HOME

  • Skoda Roadiaq is a new, all-electric SUV, mobile office, camper combo EV that is getting rave design reviews for its innovativeness, authenticity and boldness
  • One global headline called it: "Every Campers' Dream Vehicle"    
  • Here are some key facts:
  1. Czech-based automaker Skoda transformed their own vehicle Enyaq into a 100% electric motorhome called Roadiaq
  2. The idea came from 29 students at the Skoda Vocational Academy, engaged in Skoda's annual car design competition, working with the Skoda design team
  3. Combining the SUV with modern office capabilities and convertible into a mobile home/camper appears to be just pure genius    
  4. Office has what a modern office needs:  permanent internet connection; 27" monitor; docking station
  5. Converts in a few seconds to mobile home with kitchen, bed, etc.
  6. Powered by 2 electric motors; 1 in rear with 150 kW and 1 in front with 80 kW 
  7. Range:  495 kilometers or 307.6 miles
  8. All Wheel Drive

  • Roadiaq is a bold, innovative automotive concept that is getting a lot of attention.             '



PORSCHE's TECH-LOADED ELECTRIC SPEEDBOAT

  • Porsche has developed a high-tech electric speedboat with many technologies developed for its Macan EV
  • The VW-owned, luxury automaker is partnering with world-famous Austrian yacht maker Fraucher to develop the sleek, 28-foot speedboat
  • Here are some key technologies in the speedboat also developed for the Macan:
  1. Automatic drive technology from the Premium Platform Electric (PPE)
  2. 100 kWh lithium-ion battery
  3. Latest generation synchronous electric motor (PSM)
  4. Related new power electronics
  5. Zero emissions travel
  6. According to Porsche, the speedboat shares with Porsche sports cars like the all-electric Taycam "impressive acceleration, abundant pulling power, superior performance and inspiring design"
  • Accommodates 9 people with lots of perks, including premium sound system, refrigerator and more
  • Priced at $655,000 with delivery in 2024
  • A number of other luxury automakers have created their own marque yachts including BMW and Lamborghini.

KILLING WEEDS WITHOUT USING PESTICIDES

  • Two entrepreneurs have developed an autonomous robot that kills weeds without the use of pesticides
  • Called Aigen Element, the robot drives over farmland & uses an advanced computer vision system to identify crops and unwanted weeds
  • It uses 2-axis robotic arms to pull out the weeds
  • The robots work in groups, drive up to 2 mph and roam the farmland looking to pull-up weeds 12 to 14 hours per day without needing a recharge
  • Ex-Tesla engineer Rich Wurden, who comes from a family of farmers, and former tech CEO Kenny Lee founded Aigen in Kirkland, Washington to help end the overuse of pesticides in farming
  • Both men say they suffered serious diseases - cancer in Lee, diabetes in Wurden - from exposure to pesticides
  • Their robots are powered by lithium iron phosphate battery packs, flexible solar panels and wind power
  • The robots also use AI machine learning software and analytics to provide farmers with extensive crop analytics and data
  • Aigen is unique ag-tech that provides farmers with an alternative to pesticides plus crop analytics & could have big market potential.

  China's SAIC Revolutionizes the Historic British MG Brand                                              Source:  MG Cyberster Electric MG Sport Car Concept Becomes a Reality The legendary sports car company MG was founded in the 1920's in Oxford, England. It enjoyed a long history of creating iconic MG, 2 seat sports cars.
