D AILY INNOVATION BRIEF By Journalists Edward Kane & Maryanne Kane TOYOTA'S NEW MOTORSPORTS-BRED LEXUS SPORTS CAR Source: Toyota Toyota's exciting, next-generation, GT3 race car is destined to become a Lexus sports car in 2026 The race car will debut at the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) along with the Lexus motorsports-bred road car Lexus has been teasing an electric supercar concept very similar in style and proportions to the GT3 GT3 is the 1st Toyota entry into the GT3 market in a decade It has a dramatic front engine and rear-wheel drive configuration with a long, low hood and truncated angled rear: a low-slung coupe with a massive carbon fiber rear wing Concerning the Lexus sportscar concept: it's electric with a 435 mile range and accelerates 0 to 60 mpg in 2 seconds Auto enthusiasts can't wait to see the actual Lexus GT3 sports car inspir
