Honeywell Leads Effort to Bring Air Taxis to Cities in Europe                                                  Source: UMiles Next Urban Air Mobility Moves Forward Spain-based UMiles Next, which specializes in unmanned aircraft systems, has just completed a series of test flights on its autonomous, Integrity eVTOL air taxi concept.  eVTOLs (electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles), can take off and land like a helicopter and don't usually require a runway, which makes them very convenient. The test flights on Integrity included the air taxi's autonomous systems for take-off, landings and collision-avoidance.  Importantly, the flight tests included Integrity flying with a number of other unmanned aircraft.  The tests were successful.  The purpose was to demonstrate that autonomous aircraft are safe, reliable and can be seamlessly integrated into urban air spaces in the very near future. Flight Test Consortium At this time, Integrity can carry two people, reach speeds up

New SST Concept Hyper Sting                                              Source:  Oscar Vinals New York to London in 80 Minutes An exciting new flying concept, the Hyper Sting, has just been unveiled by famed, Barcelona-based aviation designer Oscar Vinals.  It's a supersonic passenger aircraft that can fly at three times the speed of sound or Mach 3.5.  That speed would enable travel from New York City to London in just 80 minutes.  Designer Vinals says this SST is very feasible, but it will require the development of new, advanced technologies. Future of Flying This fascinating new piece of aviation technology, that showcases a supersonic future, would be capable of carrying 170 passengers.  It is powered by a cold fusion nuclear reactor that fires up and sustains 4, next generation hybrid turbojets and 2, ramjet engines.  It is bigger and wider than the Concorde at 328-feet long and the wingspan is 169-feet. The shape of the plane is sleek and distinctive with a very sharp nos

It has been built as a prototye and will be test flown in a number of European cities later this year.  UMiles is a new contender in the growing air mobility market and an experienced drone manufacturer to watch.  It is quite a technological feat for a relatively small to medium sized aviation company to be unveiling two new models of flying technology at once. The Drone of Drones UMiles' the "drone of drones" is the first air taxi with 100% Spanish technology, development and manufacturing.  It was designed at Spain's larg
