  • California-based Alef Aeronautics says it will be delivering its flying and driving cars to consumers in 2025
  • Here's what we know:
  1. All-electric, 2-seat flying and driving car called Model A
  2. Vertical takeoff and landing like a helicopter
  3. Takes off vertically and then turns on its side for forward flight
  4. First flying car cleared by the FAA for flying and driving tests on the road and in the air
  5. Range of 300 km on land
  6. Range of 177 km in the air
  7. 8 rotors
  8. Carbon fiber body with open mesh top that houses 4 propellers on each side
  9. No pilot's license needed
  10. Company says it will go into production and deliver the flying cars in 2025
  11. Can get on the waiting list for $150.00 deposit
  12. Current price is $300,000.00
  13. Company targets offering a $35,000 Model Y by 2030
  14. Alef is backed by investor Tim Draper, who was also an early investor in Tesla and Space X.
