 CHATGPT AI PHONE IS ON THE HORIZON

  • Open AI is in very serious discussions to create an AI device - a ChatGPT phone, which could reinvent communications.  Here's what we know:
  1. ChatGPT has plans to create "an iPhone of Artificial Intelligence" which could revolutionize our use of phones way beyond their current capabilities
  2. The company is engaged in advanced discussions with the designer of the original iPhone Sir Jony Ive to create what would be a truly breakthrough device
  3. Their goal is to create a seamless integration of AI into the phone to make it "more natural for users to navigate"
  4. The AI phone is a top priority for Open AI CEO Sam Altman who is having the discussions with Ive
  5. Ive has a mission and goal to help users become much less dependent on their screens
  6. ChatGPT recently introduced voice controls on its app and the ability to use photographs instead of text to browse the web
  7. Since it was introduced nearly two years ago, millions of people globally are using ChatGPT to create stories, written work and code
  8. Designing the hardware for a ChatGPT phone could take a year or two
  • The promise of a generative AI-enabled phone is absolutely phenomenal and loaded with great possibilities.


MERCEDES EQS: 1st LEVEL 3 AUTONOMOUS CAR ON US ROADS

  • Mercedes Benz "Drive Pilot" conditional driver automation system has received regulatory approval in the US, making it the first Level 3 car brand approved for driving on US roads.  Here's what we know:
  1. Mercedes EQS EV sedan and the S-class (its combustion engine equivalent) will be the first vehicles to offer the Level 3 semi-autonomous feature through its Drive Pilot system
  2. Drive Pilot enables hands-free driving and handles all facets of the driver's function; however, the driver must be available to take over if requested by the system
  3. Drive Pilot operates at speeds under 40 mph
  4. Drive Pilot may ask the human driver to take over if road conditions change; traffic increases or emergency vehicles appear
  5. The autonomous technology is a mix of lidar, GPS and many sensors, backed up by braking and steering failsafe systems
  6. Already being used in Germany, it will be available in the US in early 2024 and in California and Nevada in late 2023
  7. Drive Pilot doesn't come standard; it's available by subscription starting at $2500. for the first year.

PORSCHE'S $1 MILLION POWER TRACK CAR

  • Porsche has designed a race car to show what a car's potential can be when it doesn't abide by racetrack rules and isn't street legal.  GT3 R Rennsport is a look at the full potential of driving.  Here's what we know:
  1. The GT3 R Rennsport is being called the ultimate interpretation of the 911 sports car
  2. Has a dramatic aerodynamic design with a huge rear wing and a massive diffuser
  3. 6-speed "constant-mesh" transmission
  4. 4.2-liter flat 6 engine
  5. 611 hp
  6. 9400 rpm
  7. Single seat car
  8. Can run on biofuels
  9. Fender-mounted cameras instead of rear-view mirrors and all-digital dash
  10. Porsche calls it "the hottest track tech Porsche has ever made available as a collector's item"
  11. Just 77 of these collector's items are being built for sale.
