This robot appears to be a breakthrough. Here are some key facts: Open AI's humanoid robot can answer questions, have a lively conversation and do chores around the house It's called Figure 01 and is the result of a partnership between Open AI and Figure AI Robot created by Open AI software The robot is automated and 2-legged It can plan future actions, visualize objects and reflect on its memories Its cameras shoot its surroundings, sends the images to a large-language model trained by AI and translates it for the robot Among other things it can put away your laundry, wash your dishes and give you something to eat Figure AI has raised $675 million in investment money from Jeff Bezos, Open AI, Micros
