Off-Roading EV Concept Has Solar Foldout Awnings For Extra Range                                           Source:  Wolfgang LA Team Attachable Caboose that Makes It a 940hp, 6 Wheel Behemoth The EV Thundertruck is a fascinating, green design concept for off-roading and outdoor fun.  It is a vehicle concept unlike any other.  Thundertruck is an all-electric, 4x4 off-road EV.  Uniquely it has a pull out and foldable solar canopy/awning that can provide protection from the sun while harvesting solar energy for extra charging while in a parked mode.  And there is a snap-on, self-balancing, attachment component - a caboose.  The caboose has a set of two extra wheels and additional battery power that make Thundertruck a 6-wheeler.   Creation of a LA Based Creative Automotive Team Thundertruck is the very innovative creation of a Los Angeles based creative consultancy known as the Wolfgang LA Team.  The team focused their energies on developing the truck during downtime from the COVID pandem

China's Highly Competitive Flying Car

XPeng's Voyager X2  Flying in Extreme Environments and at High Altitudes                                           Source: XPeng Voyager X2 All-Electric, New Way to Travel XPeng Huitan, a subsidiary of XPeng Motors, recently unveiled its 5th generation flying car at the Chengdu Motor Show in China.  Now, the automaker has revealed that the X2 is undergoing test flights in extreme weather conditions  and at high altitudes above cities in China.  The EV is actually an eVTOL, an electric vertical take off and landing vehicle.  XPeng Huitan calls it a "flying car" because it sports a lot of the design contained in the company's P7 EV sedan. Current Capabilities The X2 can operate on a full charge for 35 minutes and flies to a maximum altitude of 3,280 feet.  Top speed is 81 mph.  The current model can carry two people, has a closed cockpit and the fuselage is made of carbon fiber.  It weighs 870 pounds with the battery and can carry a maximum load of 440 pounds.   Mercedes EQC Debuting in India Source:  Mercedes-Benz No Emissions Plus Luxury, Power & Performance  Mercedes-Benz has one of the hottest electric vehicles in the global marketplace.  The company's first, all electric SUV - the EQC - is so hot and in such demand in Europe that Mercedes is postponing its debut in the United States until 2021.  The EQC is going to hit a very big market - lndia - in late September.  The Mercedes EQC gets 450 km on a single, 40 minute charge.  It's the first of a sub-brand -EQ - under which Mercedes will launch its electric cars. Mercedes says it will have 10 brand new, EQ models by 2022. Based on the GLC midsize crossover model, the EQC directly competes with the Audi e-tron, Jaguar 1-Pace and the Tesla Model X. The base price of the vehicle in Europe is 67,900 euros.
