  BMW iX5 Hydrogen Fuel Cell SUV Being Tested in Northern Sweden                                                  Source:  BMW Small Scale Production to Start Before End of 2022 Germany-based BMW has a vision for the future of zero emissions travel.  The vision is of vehicles that are hydrogen fuel cell powered with greater efficiency, longer range and faster recharge times than that of traditional electric vehicles.  The luxury car maker has developed a hydrogen powered BMW iX5 SUV that is close to being ready for small-scale production of a limited number of the vehicles.  The vehicle is now being tested in rugged, real-life conditions of extremely frozen, northern Sweden.  BMW says the hydrogen system is delivering full capacity even at -4 degrees (F).  BMW plans on manufacturing a limited number of the hydrogen iX5 before the end of this year. JackRabbit - New, Micro Electric Bike

  This New e-Bike Could Revolutionize City Commuting                                                       Source:  JackRabbit New, Green Travel Innovation San Diego, CA based mobility company JackRabbit has created a unique micro electric bike called Jack Rabbit.  The bike does not have traditional pedals so it's a cross between a bike and a scooter.  Jack Rabbit is for urban commuters. It is very lightweight and folds into a small shape for storage.  There is a 300 W geared motor in the bike's rear tire and a 158 Wh removable battery on top of the frame.  With the push of the throttle on the handlebars, it can speed up to 20 mph.  The range on a charge is 12 miles.  It's the invention of University of California at San Diego coach Tom Piszkin to enable better e-bike commuting and e-bike ownership for university students and city commuters.   EdisonFuture's Solar Powered Multi-Purpose Van and Pickup Truck Growing Push Toward Zero Emissions Driving Solar powered electric vehicles are starting to come on strong.  Chinese automaker EdisonFuture has unveiled a solar powered all-purpose modern van called the EF1-V.  The solar van is designed for multiple uses including for families, work, travel and for hauling cargo.  EdisonFuture says the solar EV works off-road and on city streets.  And it will be offered in several cargo sizes from 260 to 400 cubic feet of cargo space depending on the drivers' needs. Tech Specs The EF1-V comes with the choice of two powertrain options: a Standard single motor or the Long Range dual motor version.  The solar EV can tow 7,500 to 11,000 pounds depending on the version.  Price and the range of the EV have not yet been disclosed.   New Hydrogen Powered Internal Combustion Engine                                                  Source:  Toyota Toyota's Portfolio of Green Automotive Technologies Toyota is developing an experimental hydrogen car.  The GR Yaris internal combustion engine in the Toyota Corolla Sport has been converted to run on hydrogen.  Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda has driven and even raced the green vehicle.  He believes the development of this hydrogen powered engine technology could keep internal combustion engines on the road and running in a carbon free world by being fueled with clean hydrogen not carbon emissions producing gas.  CEO Toyoda also believes this technology could save millions of automotive jobs. Near Zero Emissions Driving The Toyota chief executive feels that carbon is the enemy of the environment not the internal combustion engine.  Using hydrogen to fuel the Toyota Corolla Sport experimental car keeps emissions very close to zero.  Currently, a small amount of the engine burns

  Long Distance, Zero Emissions Hydrogen Bus Travel                                             Source:  FlixBus Network of H-Buses Being Tested by Germany's Flix Germanys FlixMobility, which is the parent company of bus company FlixBus, is about to test hydrogen fuel cell buses on long distance routes throughout Europe.  It would provide Europe with the first, widespread network of hydrogen powered, zero emissions buses.  Flix is working in tandem with electromobility company Freudenberg Sealing Technologies.  Flixbus was the first transport company to launch fully electric buses in Europe.  The company's leadership considers hydrogen long distance bus travel a key component of the future of sustainable mobility. Solar Electric Car Company Goes Public & Hits Near $40 per Share  Ends Week Near $32 per Share                                                                                Sono Motors Sion Hot New Solar Electric Automotive Technology Germany's Sono Group, parent of Sono Motors - the solar electric car company - went public on the Nasdaq on November 17, 2021 for an initial price of $15 per share, soared to $38.74 and closed on Friday at $31.73 per share.  The company has a hot electric car - the Sion - and hot solar body panel technology.  Sono has 16,000 pre-orders of the Sion, which is the company's first solar electric vehicle.  The down-payments were $3,000 each.  The car is priced at $28,700 and will be delivered to consumers in the first half of 2023.  90% of the orders were placed in Germany or German speaking nations.  The company is also licensing its solar technology to other companies.  The first buyer is electric autonomous shuttle company EasyMile. World's 1st Hydrogen-Solar-E-Bike
