Maserati's 1st Fully Electric SUV

  Luxury Electric SUV Folgore                                                       Source: Maserati Lots of Battery Power and Torque Italian luxury car maker Maserati has introduced its first, fully electric SUV, the Maserati Grecale Folgore. The compact electric SUV will be available on the market in 2023.  The vehicle is Maserati's entry point into the luxury electric SUV global marketplace, which is burgeoning with new entrees and accelerating growth.  The Grecale, named after a Mediterranean Sea wind, is part of a series of new EVs from Maserati that will be sold under the Folgore nameplate. Folgore in English means lightening, and Maserati's first EV is expected to be just that - fast with style and lots of sizzle. Some Features and Specs The new Folgore is the electric version of the Maserati Grecale SUV combustion engine model.  The new e-SUV is coming with multiple powertrain options including all-electric and hybrid electric.  Features and tech specifications include:

  Maserati's Total Electric Lineup within the Next Five Years                                Source:  Maserati 2021 Grecale SUV World Automakers Pushing EV Future Maserati is Fiat Chrysler's premier luxury brand based in Italy.  Maserati chief executive Davide Grasso said today, during an online event sponsored by the Italian daily newspaper Milano Finanza, that the entire Maserati lineup is being electrified - either fully electric or hybrid electric - within the next five years.  That is a very big deal for a top of the line, combustion engine, high speed, sportscar iconic brand.   Luxury Electric Cars                                                           Source:  Bentley Bentley on an Electric Fast Track Bentley Motors' model lineup of cars will consist of only electric and plug-in hybrids by 2026.  The UK based luxury car maker will be fully electric by 2030.  This news from the company as the global automotive industry adjusts to much tougher emissions regulations in China and Europe.  Many global automakers are expanding their electric lineups.  100 Year Old Automaker Going Electric Bentley was founded 100 years ago and is now owned by Volkswagen.  It is accelerating the development of electric vehicles and will introduce two plug-in hybrids in 2021.  In a statement, Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark said: "Bentley will transform from a 100 year old luxury car company to a new, sustainable, wholly ethical role model for luxury."  Last summer, Bentley indicated that it would cut 25% of its workforce or 1,000 jobs as the company shifts to electric
