BMW's e-SUV Designed "Like a Loft"

  SUV With a Range of 280 Miles on a Charge                                             Source:  BMW Powerful SUV With Zero-Emissions BMW's new, electric SUV, the iX 60 is something electrifying and very different.  According to BMW Design Chief Adrian van Hooydonk, it is designed as a "loft on wheels".  It certainly embodies that description. The SUV provides a lot of cabin space and has an elegant, aerodynamic design.  The design team is said to have been given a great deal of freedom to pursue their collective vision of design.  The result is a stunning looking, airy, all-electric SUV with a powerful battery that affords 280 miles of range on a charge.   Highly Aerodynamic Vehicle The EV has a dual electric motor powertrain that generates 610 hp. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.  Top speed is 155 mph.  It has one of the lowest drag coefficients among production cars at .26, making it a highly aerodynamic SUV.  The vehicle has 21-inch wheels with Pirel

1st Air Taxi Likely to Fly in US

  Archer Aviation's Midnight                                             Source:  Archer Aviation Targets Commercial Operations Late 2024 - 2025 San Jose, California-based Archer Aviation has unveiled its flagship air taxi, Midnight eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicle). Company Co-founder and CEO Adan Goldstein says that Midnight is likely to be the first flying taxi to be certified by the FAA and to fly in the US by late 2024.  250 of these 12-rotor, all-electric, zero emissions and very low noise level aircraft will be commercially launched in 2025 in a partnership with United Airlines. They will serve as a network of air taxis for urban air mobility in the US.  The eVTOLs carry a pilot and 4 passengers. Mission, Purpose & Tech Specs Midnight is designed to fly a 100-mile range on a charge.  But it will start flying city routes, like downtown to the airport and back, and will focus on 20-mile, back-to-back short hops with ten-minute charging sessions built in

  Powerful New Porsche 911 Variant To Debut in L.A                                                       Source:  Porsche Off-Roading 911 Tested in Very Rugged Environments For the first time in its history, Porsche has developed an off-roading 911 sports car specifically for the public not for competitive racing.  It's called the 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar and it will formally debut tonight at the Los Angeles Auto Show.  Porsche says this is a very special variant of its iconic 911.  And it is their first, 2-door sports car to offer rugged, off-road capabilities.  It has been rigorously tested in the most challenging environments and it is one tough off-roading vehicle. What We Know Porsche hasn't disclosed any specific performance data yet, but we do know that the vehicle has very hefty all-terrain tires, added clearance and a number of new features to maintain traction and control on loose surfaces.  The 911 Dakar has been put through 300,000 miles of tough, rigorous testing, in
