Something New and Cool at the Beach

Here's a fun vehicle for your summer at the beach.  From Germany, the Brabus Crawler that costs $800,000 and is unlike any other buggy for the beach with its combination of rugged good looks and advanced technologies.  The Crawler packs 900 hp and is the creation of German luxury "tuner" automaker Brabus.  The buggy has a tube-frame chassis, composed of high-strength steel and a carbon fiber body.  Crawler has no doors and no windows but tons of fun, driving attitude. 

Tech Specs

The vehicle has a twin-turbocharged 4.5-liter V8 engine.  It pumps out 900 hp and 774 pound-feet of torque with a 9-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all of the 4 wheels.  The Crawler does not crawl.  It can accelerate to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds.  Top speed is 99 mph.  The vehicle's fully adjustable shocks provide ground clearance of 21 inches.

Interior Tech

The interior is a combination of open-air ruggedness, advanced technology and touches of plushness.  There's an advanced, off-road GPS system.  The vehicle also has 4, plush carbon fiber bucket seats, an intercom system connected to 4 helmets so conversations can be heard in the open-air buggy.  There are also 2 digital screens.  The Crawler is unique.  Only 15 are being built.  It is not road legal but the jumps it can take almost put it into flight mode.  It's for the more adventurous who like to take the road less travelled.  For more news stories like this, Daily Vehicle Briefing
