US SPACE FORCE & SPACE MYSTERIES

SOURCE:  US SPACE FORCE

  • The US Space Force wants to track "abnormal observables" in Earth orbit that are of unknown origin.  Here are some key facts:
  • New mission of the USW Space force is to identify and track mysterious objects that are in Earth orbit
  • Most of the time those objects are from other nations
  • The group will identify, work to understand, track and maintain custody of the objects, according to a document released by the US Space Force
  • The purpose is to ensure the safety of space vehicles flying in the Earth's orbit
  • They want to know where the vehicles are in real-time, how they got there, who owns them, what their potential capabilities are and who the operator is
  • A lot of advanced technologies will be applied to this, including radar systems, infrared and optical sensors, radio frequency monitoring, intelligence community information and data and images from space weather stations
  • The USSF has also hired several private companies to develop new technologies for the effort.

AN AI ROBOT TO FIX POTHOLES

  • Road Bot has been developed to fix Britain's potholed roads.  Here's what we know:
  • It was developed by British scientists

  • It finds and fixes potholes using AI
  • Developed by Robotiz3d
  • It's self-driving
  • It selects measurement data to analyze the geometry of the potholes
  • There is also a unique prediction algorithm that predicts road conditions and prioritizes preventive maintenance of roads
  • Expectation is that Road Bots will reduce time, costs, CO2 emissions and material waste
  • With extreme weather conditions increasing in Britain 2 million pothole fixes are expected to increase yearly
  • Thanks to Road Bots' cutting-edge tech, not only will time, cost and CO2 emissions be lessened, but Britons will have a smoother ride.
