The Hyundai Elevate Source:  Hyundai Wheels and Robotic Legs Hyundai has had The Elevate under development for three years.  It can activate robotic legs to walk 3 mph over rough terrain.  The car can climb a 5 foot wall and jump over a 5 foot gap.  Hyundai says it could be very useful in emergency and disaster situations. Beyond Wheels This unusual looking vehicle is part of Hyundai's project " beyond the range of wheels".  The Elevate can drive to the scene of a disaster and climb over the debris.  It's a brand new form of mobility innovation.  It was just unveiled today at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

NFT Flying Car Source:  NFT  Flying Car Tech Being Developed in Israel and California Flying cars are coming and accelerating into a dealership near you.  One interesting example is being developed by an Israeli company NFT, Inc. with locations in both California and Israel. Rolls-Royce's Electric Flying Car Source:  Rolls-Royce Air Taxis Rolls-Royce is prototyping an all electric flying car.  It's an EVTOL or electric vertical take off and landing air taxi concept.  The vehicle could carry 5 passengers at speeds up to 250 mph for distances up to 500 miles.  The company promises to produce a vehicle prototype by mid 2020. Storied Jet Engine History Rolls-Royce says it intends to play a leading role in the big, emerging flying car market given their expertise in electric technologies and aviation. They're exploring a range of electric and hybrid personal air mobility systems. The British based company makes commercial jet engines.  Rolls Royce Motor Cars is now owned by BMW and is not associated with this effort. Billionaires Race to Space Source:  Blue Origin  -  Jeff Bezos & his space vehicle Blue Origin Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is in a race to win the highly competitive drive to commercialize space.  His company Blue Origin has a mission:  to provide low cost travel to space.  He's in a battle for space with two other billionaires - Elon Musk of SpaceX and Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Galactic. Take-Off 2019 Bezos finances Blue Origin with $1 billion in Amazon stock yearly.  His system consists of a pressurized crew capsule on top of a reusable  "New Shepherd" rocket.  The system has been successfully tested several times. Experts expect the first crewed flight in the first half of 2019. Blue Origin has yet to leave the Earth's atmosphere.  SpaceX Falcon Heavy has soared into space.  Virgin Galactic's Unity spaceship recently crossed into the outer edges of space. German Engineering Precision Source:  Franka Emika Robotics The Panda Germany based robotics firm Franka Emika has built a breakthrough robotic arm specifically geared for small business. It's called The Panda, is easy to program and is priced at $11,000.  It's been cited by Time as one of the top inventions of 2018. Lightweight Robotic System The Panda can move in 7 axes. The company says it was designed to mimic human agility and a sense of touch.  It can be programmed to perform specific tasks and is interconnected and adaptive. Panda can build circuit boards, conduct scientific experiments and pre-test equipment. Two Pandas can work together and build a third Panda. Wind Power For Houses Source:  Semtive Nemoi Wind Turbines New, Small, Noiseless Wind Turbines The renewable energy technology has been developed by a team of Argentines.  It's called Semtive Nemoi Wind Turbine and it delivers electricity from the kinetic energy of the wind into the home.
