US Advanced eVTOL Startup NeXT

US air mobility startup NeXT has created a highly advanced, one person e-VTOL that vertically takes off and lands like a helicopter.  No airport runway or infrastructure is needed.  The vehicle is called iFLY.  The company says it is planet friendly as it is fully electric with zero emissions.  It is also fully autonomous with no pilot needed.  It is designed to be a very affordable means of personal air mobility.

Unique Flying Technology

The vehicle operates with a mobile app that works on both android and iOS.  The rider needs to select a destination landing spot provided on a touchscreen, which in turn provides iFLY instructions to reach the desired destination.  The EV operates with 8 propellers in protective safety enclosures powered by 8 battery electric motors.

More Unique Technology

According to the company, iFLY has a unique combination of high stability, agility and destination flexibility, thanks to its advanced, redundant flight control system that controls the speed of the electric motors and can change the speed and direction of the flight.  The EV calculates the wind speed, altitude and energy needed to fly to and from the destination site and automatically returns home when the journey is accomplished.  iFly has gone through extensive, proof of concept flight testing.  It has been granted a patent by the US government.

Mission:  Making Personal Air Mobility a Reality for the Masses

NeXT claims that iFLY can cut response times in half for emergency responders and provide safer and faster access to emergency scenes.  NeXT has a second eVTOL, Pegasus, that is patent pending.  NeXT is currently exploring having iFLY initially qualified by the FAA as a Powered Ultralight for which a pilot's license isn't required to fly the vehicle.  As iFLY is fully automated, the company believes a pilot is not needed.  This vehicle could be an important part of personal air mobility for large numbers of people.  NeXT's mission is to make personal air mobility a reality for the masses.  To move iFLY forward, NeXT is currently looking for Venture Capital investors or a SPAC (special purpose acquisition company) to go public and rapidly expand its business.
