EQE Has Looks, Range, Tech & More

Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled an all-electric new sedan, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE.  It is a smaller but very distinctive version of the new MB EQS, which is MB's very hot flagship vehicle in the global automotive marketplace.  With the EQE, the design, range, technology and infotainment features are very impressive.  For example, the infotainment screen is 56 inches long and spans the full width of the dashboard.  It is called the Hyperscreen and it combines a digital gauge cluster, central touchscreen and a screen for the front passenger.  The EV is getting great reviews from the automotive press.

MB Is Debuting Several Versions of the EQE

First to reach dealerships in late 2022 is the EQE350+ with a single motor mounted on the rear axle and rear-wheel drive.  The EV has a 90.6-kWh battery, packs a driving range of 300 miles, pumps out 288 hp and 392 pound-feet of torque.  Top speed for the EQE350+ is 130 mph and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds.  It has a fast-charging capability that enables a recharge from the 10% level to 80% in 30 minutes.

More Powerful Version in 2023

A more powerful version of the EQE with 402 hp, dual motors and all-wheel drive called the EQE500 will hit showrooms in 2023.  The EQE500 is priced to start at $85,000. The EQE350+ is priced to start at $70,000. The exterior design of the EV is sleek, clean and classy.  The interior is elegant and plush with the optional Hyperscreen that makes the dashboard a huge digital display with multiple digital screens spanning its width.  There is a huge sunroof and customizable ambient lighting.  Numerous options for the EV are available including 4-zone climate control and front doors that automatically open and close.  There is driver assistance technology with options that include a 360-degree camera system and self-parking.  The new EQE is sending quite a technological electric jolt through the EV market.  For more news stories like this, go to Future Modes of Travel 2020's & 2030's
