High Performance, High Range, High Price

Mercedes-AMG just unveiled its high performance, high range, high priced and all-electric new e-sedan, the Mercedes-AMG EQS. It is a powerful, exquisitely designed vehicle that Mercedes says is their vision for the future of all-electric driving in a high-performance sedan.  The technology and aerodynamic design are unparalleled and so is the vehicle's price at $148,550.00, which is $45,000 more than the basic MB EQS 450 Plus at $103,000. 

Tech Specs

The new vehicle has a 400-volt electric engine system and a 107.8 kilometer-hour battery.  MB says the EV can add 180 miles of range in just 18 minutes.  There is no official announcement on the EV's range on a charge, but the likelihood is 337 to 350 miles on a charge.  This vehicle is powerful with 649 hp and 700 pound-feet of torque.  There is also a temporary booster that can produce 751 hp and 752 pound-feet of torque.

More Tech Details

The EV's highest speed is 155 mph.  It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds.  It comes in two versions:  the Exclusive and the Pinnacle.  This sedan is large, with four doors and has a standard 4 Matic plus all-wheel drive system.  The cabin has a huge infotainment hyperscreen with 3 displays that total 56 inches.  The vehicle also has a Burmester 3D surround sound system and heated and cooled seats.  It will be arriving in showrooms in late spring.  For more stories like this, go to New Breakthrough Cars, Planes, Bikes, Boats
