META-MARK ZUCKERBERG'S CELEBRITY AI CHATBOTS

  • Mark Zuckerberg's Meta has forged partnerships with more than a dozen celebrities, including Tom Brady and Snoop Dogg, and turned them into AI chatbots.  Here's what we know:
  1. Mark Zuckerberg wanted to create AIs with distinct personalities, interests and opinions, not just AI chatbots that answer questions
  2. He's created consumer-targeted AI chatbots with celebrity avatars on Meta's social apps
  3. The Meta CEO says it's about entertainment and connecting with leading players in the world around us
  4. Examples:  Snoop Dogg playing a dungeon master giving gaming advice and legendary quarterback Tom Brady having fun answering questions about sports
  5. The celebrity chatbots are being delivered by Meta AI and are available on Instagram, Messenger, WhatsAPP, the new Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses and the Quest 3 headset
  6. The celebrities are chatting by text right now but their avatars will be getting voices in 2024
  7. Meta AI can also provide real-time information and generate photo-realistic images based on your prompts
  8. Tom Brady's Bru chatbot and Chris Paul's Perry chatbot are providing real-time information; many of the others are not but undoubtedly will be soon
  9. Zuckerberg also intends to add to the celebrity lineup
  10. Meta has billions of global users every day and experts think that the scale of Meta's platform, that includes Facebook, could make these celebrity chatbots huge.


SWEDISH TRUCK MAKER TESTING SOLAR SEMI'S

  • Sweden-based commercial vehicle maker Scania, which is dedicated to ending production of all diesel engines by 2040, is testing a plug-in hybrid semi-truck covered in solar panels.  Here's what we know:
  1. It has 100 sq. meters of solar panels
  2. The solar panels help to generate power for 560 hp for the big rig
  3. Goal of this new technology is to shift to a sustainable transport system
  4. Solar panels could significantly reduce carbon emissions in the transport sector
  5. Excess energy could be sold to the grid
  6. Scania says that energy has never before been generated to the trucks' powertrains like this with solar panels
  7. Studies are not yet completed but new research is focusing on potential carbon emissions declines and how solar powered trucks will interact with the power grid
  8. Scania is positioning to be at the vanguard of the next generation of trucks that use sustainable energy and curb the overheating of our planet.

  China's SAIC Revolutionizes the Historic British MG Brand                                              Source:  MG Cyberster Electric MG Sport Car Concept Becomes a Reality The legendary sports car company MG was founded in the 1920's in Oxford, England. It enjoyed a long history of creating iconic MG, 2 seat sports cars. It is now China owned and China based, acquired a few years ago by SAIC Motors.  The new MG has a fabulous concept car the Cyberster.  It's an all electric sports car that was recently introduced at the Shanghai 2021 Motor Show.  MG just announced the vehicle is going from concept and into production.  MG calls it the "world's first purely electric e-sports cockpit".  The design of this electric vehicle is sleek, futuristic and highly styled with a wide grill that is a throwback to the original MGB as are the round headlights that open like eyes when the car is turned on.  It is truly an iconic, all electric sports car.
