  Purosangue SUV With V12 Engine Source:  Ferrari A Pure Thoroughbred That Could Shake Up the Global SUV Market Italian sports car maker Ferrari just announced that its new Purosangue SUV will be powered by a high performance 6.5-liter V12 engine.  This vehicle is designed to be the fastest SUV on the road today.  Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna made the V12 decision promising that Ferrari's first SUV will provide outstanding performance and driving.  The naturally aspirated V12 is Ferrari's most powerful engine and represents a departure from Ferrari's recent strategy of using less polluting V6 and V8 hybrid engines.    New, All Wheel Drive Versions of All Electric EQA                                                        Source:  Mercedes Mercedes Very Popular, All Electric Compact SUV Mercedes has launched two new all-wheel-drive versions of the EQA crossover.  The small, all-electric EQA 250 launched to great reviews in January and has wracked up 20,000 customer orders.  But it was only available with a single, front wheel drive, 140 kW drivetrain.  Now, all-wheel-drive versions of the EQA can be ordered.  Mercedes just announced the new all-wheel-drive versions.  Tech Specs The two, new all-wheel-drive versions are the EQA 300 4MATIC with 168 kW and the EQA 350 4MATIC with 215 kW.  The range on the EQA 250 is 306 miles, EQA 300 is 265 miles and the EQA 350 is 268 m.  The front wheel drive EQA 250 has a single 140 electric motor.  The two all-wheel-drive versions have an additional small rear motor.  Mercedes says the vehicles have "high power density, high efficiency and high power consis

  Customers Order Fully Electric Pickup and SUV in Droves                                                  Source:  Rivian Michigan Based EV Startup Rivian Before Michigan startup Rivian offered the first edition of its electric pickup truck to the public, it sold out of all of its order reservation spots.  The bidding for the first editions of the R1T e-pickup truck and R1S e-SUV were offered first to people who had put down a $1,000 deposit in the past two years.  The vehicles sold out within a week.  Rivian calls it their Launch Edition.  The R1T will be delivered to customers in June 2021.  The R1S SUV will be delivered in August 2021. Pre-Ordering for January 2022 Deliveries Opens Today Rivian is now offering pre-order access to the public on their Adventure and Explore packages which include all-glass roofs and WIFI with 4G capability.  Those orders won't be delivered to customers until January 2022.  The Launch Edition is the only model that Rivian will produce between June
