  Growing EV Fight Against Climate Change Source:  Israeli Electric Transit Buses US Looks to Invest Billions in Electric School Buses Israel is making a hard push for the use of electric vehicles as part of its fight against climate change.  The number of electric cars rose by 132% in 2020 in Israel.  Hybrid vehicles are at 223,600, which is 6% of all motor vehicles.  Now the government of Israel is tripling the number of electric buses for zero emissions public transportation. It just allocated more than $18 million for the purchase of 220 electric transit buses.  The new buses will be in service in nine cities, including Israel's big cities like Tel Aviv.  Meanwhile in the US, the Biden Administration has filed legislation for $25 billion to make America's fleet of school buses fully electric.  It's part of President Biden's $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan.  Clearly, buses are now being targeted for causing big pollution problems.   Summer Debut for Genesis Brand in Europe Source:  Genesis Electric and Hybrid Vehicles To Be Showcased South Korea's Hyundai is debuting its luxury Genesis brand in Europe this summer.  It will offer both electric and conventional vehicles but it is clearly pushing its electric and hybrid models into the European market.  There is a strategic reason for it.  Europe is one of the world's fastest growing electric vehicle markets.  Sales of electric and plug in hybrid vehicles tripled in the European Union in 2020 to over 1 million vehicle sold, which amounted to more than 10% of total sales. The developers recently disclosed their very innovative flying car project. Technical Capabilities Cyclocar will be available either as a fully electric or hybrid vehicles   It will be able to hit maximum speeds of 155 mph and will have a flight range of 311 miles.  It will be equipped with a Russian made serial hybrid drive unit that allows it to be customized.   The power unit is based on a gasoline rotary piston engine or a more powerful powertrain based on a tur
