If you want one of the world's most prestigious, status statement cars - the latest Mercedes Maybach - you will have to go electric.  At the IAA Mobility 2021 show in Munich, Mercedes unveiled its latest Maybach - the Mercedes Maybach EQS SUV.  It is the most exclusive car that Mercedes Benz makes and it is all electric.  Pricing starts at $200,000.

Ultra Luxury With Zero Emissions

The Maybach EQS's electric powertrain is standard with all wheel drive.  The driving range on a charge is 370 miles and this ultra-luxury EV is expected to have superior acceleration and power.  The cabin of the vehicle is very high tech with impressive displays and also luxurious with faux-fur carpets.  The exterior is sleek and stylish with flashy 24" wheels.  It is expected to go into production in 2023.

Mercedes' 5 New EVs

Mercedes premiered five new electric vehicles at the IAA Mobility 2021.  Besides the 2023 Maybach EQS, there is a new electric G class concept, the EQC.  There is also a new compact crossover, the 2023 EQB.  Also unveiled are a production-ready electric E class sedan, the 2023 EQE and the 2023 Mercedes-AMG EQS.  

Zero Emissions Plans

All of the major German-based automakers are intensifying their electrification agendas.
