  Toyota Goes Beyond Zero With a New, Small E-SUV                                                  Source:  Toyota Fresh Perspective On Toyota's Electric Future Toyota just unveiled its new, all electric compact SUV, the bZ Compact at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show.  The concept vehicle, which is part of Toyota's new Beyond Zero vehicle line, provides a fresh perspective on the electric future that the Japanese automaker is creating.  The bZ has a very edgy, stylish, angular, aerodynamic design. It is a light show in motion with C-shaped LED daytime headlights connected by a line of LED lights across the front bumper.   Several New Micro-Mobility Vehicles                                                                                      Source:  Honda Unique New Technologies  Honda is developing a series of test vehicles that will be able to communicate and cooperate like humans.  They are micro-mobility vehicles that include a 4-seat electric mini-car. The car self-drives and can have conversations with the user. There is also a very mobile robot that can help carry people's bags.  These vehicles are the highly innovative creations of Honda CI (Cooperative Intelligence) and Honda AI.  Honda says that the goal and purpose of these new travel concepts is to help people who don't own a car, to move around cities.  The Japanese automaker believes that the need for micro-mobility vehicles is a big, growing trend that it wants to capitalize on.  It plans to offer some of these new technologies first to Japan in 2030.   2-Seat eVTOLs Made in Japan                                                  Source:  SkyDrive Hot Japanese Startup SkyDrive Japanese eVTOL startup SkyDrive intends to introduce flying taxi service at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.  The company just unveiled its new, two seat SD-05 eVTOL which will be the flying taxi vehicle taking passengers on short flights around the big event.  SD-05 is the next technological iteration on the original one-seat, sporty prototype SD-03 which has been successfully flown in demonstrations in Japan since it was introduced in 2020.  SkyDrive is a hot eVTOL startup with a partnership with Suzuki and millions of dollars in investment money bankrolling the development of its flying taxis. It just raised $66 million in a Series C funding round to build the SD-5's as well as its cargo drones.
