Technology and Design Aesthetics

For starters, this is an eye-catching car that is designed to drive, thrill and impress.  It can hit speeds up to 130 mph and accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in less than 7 seconds on three wheels.  The engine pumps out 118 hp at 6500 rpm and 110-pound feet of torque.  The large and distinctive front aluminum hood is utilitarian. It functions as an engine mount, suspension mount and an enhancement to the aerodynamics of the vehicle.  The round, eyeball-like headlights are very retro as are the tall tires that look like they came from the Roaring Twenties.  The wheels are called the Speedmakers.  The 5-gear speedbox goes back to the older 3Wheeler.  The 3-wheel driving system harkens back to the last Morgan 3-wheel vehicle, the 2011 Morgan 3Wheeler.  The weight, top speeds and horsepower have been significantly increased in the Morgan Super 3 to make it into a new, classic auto. Morgan Motor Company was founded in the UK in 1910. Out of its facilities in Malvern, UK, it produces about 850 cars a year by hand.  Design aspects of the 3-wheel vehicles go back to the company's origins.
