TRIUMPH MAKING A TRIUMPHANT RETURN

  • The British iconic sports car brand Triumph is making a triumphant return from its 1984 retirement with a stunning, all electric, new concept car
  • BMW owns the Triumph name and has partnered with the London-based automotive design firm Makkina to create the concept as a tribute to Triumph's 100th anniversary
  • Here are some key details on the TR25:
  1. Single-seat roadster
  2. Based on TR2, launched in 1953
  3. Classic touches like round headlights & rounded fenders
  4. Futuristic touches like scissor doors, very aerodynamic styling, 21" alloy wheels
  5. Chassis & body panels are carbon fiber
  6. Minimalist interior
  7. Fully electric with rear-mounted electric motor
  8. 181 hp
  9. Top speed of 115 mph & accelerates 0 to 62 mph in 5.2 seconds
  • TR25 is a concept car but there are many car afficionados hoping BMW quickly puts it into production.

  • Austin, TX-based start-up Virtuix is re-defining virtual reality video gaming
  • Its omni-directional VR OMNI One treadmills enable gamers to run, walk and even jump 360-degrees inside video games and virtual worlds
  • The company says the full, freedom of motion capabilities the VR treadmill offers are a world first
  • It's priced at $2595.00
  • They're currently scaling up their business to expand their 300,000 registered player base and significantly increase production of their in-home VR locomotion device
  • Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is a major investor in the company and the company is in a Kickstarter campaign to expand its investment funding.


"BASIC STUFF OF LIFE" FOUND ON MARS

  • NASA's Perserverance robotic rover has found diverse traces of preserved organic matter on Mars
  • Organic matter is the "basic building blocks of life"
  • The discovery was made in 2 rock formations on the floor of Jezero Crater, which scientists believe is a top location for finding any evidence of the existence of ancient life on Mars
  • The organic material is estimated to be 2.3 to 2.6 billion years old
  • Finding made by one of Perserverance's instruments SHERLOC or Scanning Habitable Environment Raman & Luminescence Organic & Chemical
  • One of Perserverance's key goals is to determine if Mars hosted life in its ancient past
  • The findings do not confirm that life once existed there but they do build on previous detections of organic molecules by Perserverance's predecessor Curiosity.

  China's SAIC Revolutionizes the Historic British MG Brand                                              Source:  MG Cyberster Electric MG Sport Car Concept Becomes a Reality The legendary sports car company MG was founded in the 1920's in Oxford, England. It enjoyed a long history of creating iconic MG, 2 seat sports cars.
