Here's what we know: The flight will be the world's 1st transatlantic flight powered by 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), like used cooking oil and agriculture waste Flight scheduled from London to New York City on November 28 This historic flight will cut carbon emissions by 70% Goal: support and encourage the aviation industry to use more sustainable practices and explore new, innovative technologies to support it Virgin Atlantic worked with the UK government to secure clearances and enable this flight to happen for more than a year.
