New Travel Concept, Fresh Design

Hoga is an intriguing new, electric car design that buyers assemble for themselves. It is the innovative idea of Los Angeles transportation designer Ryan Schlotthauer, inspired by an imagined, hypothetical collaboration between Renault and Ikea.  The designer says it combines Ikea's design philosophy and Renault's mobility program. Hoga is a modular, ultra mini, all-electric sustainable car that is priced at $6,500.  It's designed to be assembled like a piece of furniture from Ikea. It aims to be "clever, low cost and sustainable" with no compromises on passenger safety, easy usage and spacious, usable interior spaces.

Ultimate Kit Car

Hoga is the ultimate kit car.  It would ship in a box like a piece of Ikea furniture for assembly.  The vehicle is ultra compact - just 2.23 meters in length.  It can be a two seater or is customizable to the owner's preferences such as a child's seat in the back or the back used for extra cargo space.  There are 370 parts to assemble and every component is made of upcycled or recycled material.  The designer says assembly is easy.  The parts snap and screw together. When the life cycle of the car is over, it is totally recyclable.

Bauhaus Principle

Hoga is a concept vehicle that is based on Bauhaus principles.  As a result, it is designed to be practical, purposeful and pure.  The designer says it is the ideal urban commuting car.  There is a spacious interior.  The entire dash with a large display is attached to the front windshield  It opens to enable entrance and exit from the front and rear of the vehicle.  It could be the car of tomorrow.  It is hard to say if or when it might go into production.  But, it certainly is a zero emissions, sustainable and a much less expensive approach to electric driving.  For a comprehensive look at the future of travel, go to https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asin=B08S958SBV&preview=newtab&linkCode=kpe&ref_=cm_sw_r_kb_dp_Y3JZPVTAJZV3ANK8HZVF
