Loaded with Technologies

South Korean based Hyundai's premium luxury brand Genesis is ready to start selling its new luxury electric sedan, the Genesis G80 that's designed to take on luxury electric competitors like Tesla, Mercedes-Benz and Lucid.  The EV is elegantly styled and provides impressive performance.  It packs 365 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque which it serves up to all four wheels.  Thanks to an 87.2 kWh battery, the range on a charge is 282 miles. The EV has an 800-volt electrical architecture that enables super-fast recharging.  And it packs a big punch pricewise.  It is less expensive than the other full-sized, luxury electric sedans on the market today, starting at $79,825. Hyundai and Genesis call the G80 the dawn of a new era of electric mobility that will blaze new trails for the next Genesis EVs to come.  At its essence, the core of the Genesis brand is luxury.  The new G80 brings plenty of luxury and lots of highly advanced technologies to this new all-electric ride.

Tech, Interior and Exterior Standouts

G80 has front and rear electric motors with a total of 272 kW.    Its recharge turnaround time is impressive.  It can go from a 10% to an 80% recharge in just 22 minutes.  The EV accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. The full-bodied sedan has 5 seats.  The design is sleek, posh and sophisticated. In terms of luxury, the interior is elegantly simple and composed of luxuries like Nappa leather, polished wood and adjustable ambient lighting. There's a smart trunk, front seats with multiple lumbar adjustments, an active noise control system and sun shading for the steering wheel and windows. It's loaded with technologies, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch HD touchscreen infotainment center on top of the dash, a 17-speaker audio system, digital keys, wireless charging and Genesis connected services.  There is also state-of-the art drivers assistance.  It is quite a gold-standard vehicle. It is currently rolling out in several US markets including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and California.
